I Don't Know What I Would Have Done
I moved to Bakersfield by myself, and I don't have family, friends, or a car. I needed to go to the doctor, so I called Homewatch CareGivers to help. A caregiver arrived and promptly took me to my doctor's office. The caregiver stayed for my appointment, drove me to the pharmacy. I was ordered a colonoscopy. She assisted me in preparing my first dose and reading the instructions for the procedure. Great, I had help! For the colonoscopy, I needed the service again. The caregiver arrived early, I made the appointment on time. She waited during the procedure and helped me back to the car because I had anesthesia. I don't know what I would have done without her. I got home safe, the caregiver helped me into my bed clothes and secured the house. Thank you so much!

I cannot say enough to express our family’s gratitude for the immediate response and action we received in our hour of need for services. Matthew was so kind and compassionate, meeting me within a few hours after my call requesting help. Our meeting at my home put me at ease immediately at a very stressful time. He was so professional, calming, and thorough with the intake process. Thereafter, he had his staff at my home within an hour to care for my mother-in-law.
Naomi and Jeanette are true professionals who provided the necessary immediate care she needed with professionalism and compassion. They respected both her dignity and extreme level of pain while performing the many necessary caregiving tasks required.
Jeanette arrived early the following day and immediately got to work assisting my mother-in-law and ensuring she had each task completed thoroughly and carefully. She is such a kind, gentle, and caring caregiver.
I cannot say enough about my recommendation for Homewatch CareGivers of Bakersfield. Should my family ever require services in the future, Matthew will be my first call.

Really pleased with the service
We have been with Homewatch for 5 months now, and we've been really pleased with the service. Relieved, actually!
Mom started needing some extra help at the end of last year, and since my sister and I are both working, we knew we needed to bring someone else in to make sure Mom was okay with day-to-day things, and making sure she has her oxygen on, etc. We started out with one caregiver, but are now with a young lady named Ledora, and she has been a great fit for my Mom. She knows when to push a little on helping my Mom, but she also knows when to step back and let my mother do something herself (she's a very independent person). Matthew and Grace have been great in terms of flexibility and scheduling. We are very grateful for the level of care our mother is receiving from Homewatch.

I've been using Homewatch CareGivers of Bakersfield for 4 months now (started in Oct 2025) and so far they've been very helpful!!! My mom was diagnosed with bulbar-onset ALS 2 years ago and now she's starting to have trouble getting around and communicating. I live 3 hours away, so I have 3 different caretakers from Homewatch going to her house every week for just 2 hours/day (will increase as needed) and they are awesome.
