Maria O. has been our caregiver for a year and has become part of our family! We love her and the wonderful care she gives my husband. Maria allows me to be totally at ease while going to my class, Dr. appointments, grocery shopping, or to lunch with my girlfriends, or maybe taking a nap. Truly a Godsend! With a hospital discharge sooner than anticipated, I was fortunate to connect with Homewatch YL. Lydia coordinated a same-day assessment, and a caregiver arrived the next day. The three caregivers were all extremely kind, gentle, and professional. Our patient came to look forward to their arrival and company. She made great progress under their care. After a couple of weeks of hospitals and insurance companies, it was a gift to work with such a responsive and professional firm. BRAVO!

I would like to first acknowledge Ahl Balagatas, a wonderful, caring human being who provided the utmost care and respect to my brother, a veteran, and myself. Sophia and Annette arrived on a moment’s notice to help my loved one, who had been in bed for several days after a fall. I wasn’t sure whether they’d be able to get her to stand up or walk. Not only did they get her out of bed and walking with loving emotional and physical support, they got her bathed and engaged. When I heard my loved one in the bathroom laughing and joking with them, I cried tears of joy and amazement!

We went through a number of agencies before coming across Homewatch. They are amazing. So professional and they really considered my grandfather's wants and needs. Sophia and Brittany from the office always kept us informed and were so attentive. Our caregiver Karen was the absolute best. She became like an extended part of our family. Very happy with Homewatch Caregivers. Sophia has done a great job finding two great caregivers. She also comes to my Mom and Dad’s house to help train the caregivers, do safety checks, and help with meal planning suggestions. Tracey is great with my mom and dad. Mom says Tracey is like a sister to her. They have fun doing puzzles together. Veralinda is a caregiver who is so knowledgeable and makes good suggestions for improvement. Loves the puzzles and even checkers too, helping both Mom and Dad. Both caregivers help with the cooking and keep the place spotless. And whenever my dad gets up, both Tracey and Veralinda are right there to make sure he doesn’t fall. It’s nice to have someone like these two to rely on.

Wonderful Case Manager Sophia 11-29-2022

We suddenly needed to start homecare for 96yo MIL on a Saturday this past October. Homewatch Yorba Linda was the first and only company to respond right away. Case manager Sophia was wonderful. She came right over to start service and remained until a caregiver could arrive. On several occasions, she filled in and supported our hospice providers in the physical care of our mom. The team was there for us every day. MIL passed away on 11/8 while caregiver Marina was in attendance. It was her first on-duty death, and she handled it admirably. All caregivers we used were lovely and more than competent. Some, however, did meet our needs more specifically than others. Sophia was extremely responsive to meeting these needs as we expressed them. In addition to Sophia, we are particularly grateful to Marina and especially to Martini for their outstanding care and support. Thank you all!

I am writing this review to thank Homewatch CareGivers of Yorba Linda for working with us to make my Dad's transition back home so successful. Their personal attention to his case and our family has meant so much! All of the caregivers that have come to serve him have been well trained and have handled our family dynamics very professionally. We want to single out two of the caregivers that are especially professional and always go above and beyond the basic, required duties. Mary (Maria) is a sweet, no-nonsense professional. She interacts well with the family and pays attention to Ken during her entire shift. She communicates with us when there are issues and describes her preferred methods for handling the bedding reset process and other duties. She just overall, does a Great Job! Iris is such a sweet, no-nonsense professional. She interacts well with the family and pays attention to Dad during her entire shift. She communicates with us when there are issues. She often goes above and beyond to recommend and bring samples of products and supplies that she thinks would help with Dad’s care. She volunteers to take as many shifts as possible to provide a continuity of service that is so appreciated. She is so attentive to Dad and always knows what he wants, when he wants it, what makes him smile, and when to let him have his way. Her love and respect for each of us really stands out!

I really appreciated the original interview by the supervisor. Each of the caregivers were excellent and caring. I had four different caregivers, each of which I got along with very well. Caregiver Proactive Partner 5-24-2016

After speaking with three home caregiving businesses, I chose HomeWatch CareGivers of Yorba Linda to provide once-a-week service for my mother to see how she liked having help. Mom didn't think she had enough for a caregiver to do for her at that time and discontinued service after about a month. However, some months later, a health crisis left us with a need for assistance for my father, and Irene Finney was able to provide us a caregiver on short notice. We continued with HomeWatch after my mother was discharged from skilled nursing, and her caregiver has been a very proactive partner in helping Mom recover from hip surgery. Her caregiver's CNA training has been very helpful, especially in regards to physical therapy. Irene has helped to facilitate changes in caregiver duties as Mom's needs have changed and has visited Mom and Dad's home to check on their care (pre-service evaluation of their safety in-home, etc.). I am grateful to Irene and Mom's caregiver, Dolores, for giving us the opportunity to keep Mom and Dad in their home, rather than have to use a LTC facility.
