She came to meet them and was so helpful with explaining what they do and the process they use for matching up the right person for them. Mary Ellen did an A+ job of finding the perfect person for them on the first try, which is no small feat given how picky my mother is. My father has since passed away, and their caregiver has been instrumental in helping my mother navigate her new life without my father. I highly recommend Homewatch and especially Mary Ellen!

I can’t say enough about this company and its dedication to their mission. Our family needed them suddenly, to help my mom transition home from rehab. We had complex scheduling needs the company met with aplomb. They understand the need for reliability, and having the same people come over time. And the caregivers are wonderful souls devoted to the clients. The schedulers are available every day, including weekends, for questions or changes. It would be hard to imagine the past few months without their alongsideness. It takes the proverbial village when life and health take a turn, and Homewatch was and is there for us.

After 65 days in Yale New Haven Hospital, I have to thank Homewatch CareGivers for saving the life of my husband and, therefore, also me. Consumed with fear for bringing home a complex medical husband that needed very specialized care, the assigned caregivers helped me around the clock to adjust to the special needs, diet, and physical care of my husband and having backup regarding medication, turning, bed baths, special diet to replace his lost 30 pounds, and my sanity. Their long-term devotion has brought us through so many stages of progressing back to his best health. They do not shy away from the sad, the difficult, or the complex. They helped to nurture us both day by day, year by year, and now 19 months later. I am forever grateful for their compassionate abilities. I had a mother that needed 24/7 live-in care. Interviewing different agencies and pulling the trigger on hiring one is scary. You cannot possibly cover every contingency. But my initial contact with Homewatch was very positive. And they delivered on everything they said they would and then some. They were a valuable asset in the care of my mother. We went through several caregivers in a short period... the first one got sick, the second one was a problem with a language barrier (both parents are hard of hearing, so an accent was difficult for them) and finally settled on a third. The caregivers were all caring and skilled and blended in well with the family. They truly went above and beyond. Matthew, the owner, and the care coordinator were in constant contact and handled everything in a timely and caring manner. If you are considering in-home care, seriously consider Homewatch. It is not an easy business, but they work hard to make it go as smooth as possible, are in constant communication while being extremely sensitive and caring towards your situation. Thank you for making my mother's last days at home possible!
