Important support for me and my family
My mom was in hospice in September, October, and early November 2025, and I needed care for her while I was at work. Homewatch did a good job locating caring caregivers. During the final days, I was blessed to have experienced caregivers stay with my mom at night who made her final hours more comfortable and let me know when the time was close. They were an important support for me and my family.

I Don't Know How We Would Have Survived
Mandy (employee of Homewatch CareGivers) is the health care manager for a dear friend of mine who has severe dementia and lives in a family care home. Mandy coordinates all of her out-of-home care, such as doctor appointments, and frequently takes her to those appointments. She visits my friend frequently to keep abreast of what is going on with her. Mandy also orders clothes as needed for my friend and takes her for special events, such as the book store. She has been readily available whenever my friend or I needed her. She organizes a Zoom meeting (with friends, brother, power of attorney, and health care power of attorney) most weeks to discuss my friend's care. Recently we are also using a companion from Homewatch CareGivers to provide extra caring attention for my friend. That person has also been very helpful. I don't know how we, her friends, would have survived without this agency, and especially Mandy. As a retired nurse, I'm aware of the many needs of someone with severe dementia and feel completely comfortable that this agency is making sure that my friend is receiving the best care possible.

My mother and stepfather have been receiving care for the past few years from Homewatch CareGivers of Chapel Hill. I, nor my siblings, live in town, and when it came time to have to get extra help for them in the home, my mom and her husband had concerns, and I did too, honestly. Well, no one needed to worry. The caregivers from Homewatch have been wonderful. When I visit my mom, I see that their caregivers are not only doing their job, but are truly fond of my mom and stepfather. There are several of the women that I feel like are part of our family. It definitely gives you peace of mind knowing that your loved ones are well taken care of.
